SUMMARY Family Service League is seeking a full-time, Master's-level Social Worker for our Mental Health Clinic in Central Islip.
The Social Worker will provide evaluations, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention to children, families, and adults with a full range of DSM diagnoses in a clinic setting, including co-occurring disorders.

RESPONSIBILITIESThe Social Worker will provide individual and group therapy to adults and children with a full range of DSM diagnoses in a clinic setting.
Direct service will be provided both in person and via telehealth.
Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with NYS Office of Mental Health in an electronic medical record, including progress notes, comprehensive assessments and individual actions plans.
Provide services that are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
The Social Worker will communicate with all relevant referral sources, care coordination providers, and family members.
Coordinate and provide linkage to community resources and for discharge planning.
Attend routine supervision and team meetings.
Provide crisis intervention during scheduled work hours as needed.
The Social Worker will identify and recommend additional referrals as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in social work required.
LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, or limited permit required.
At least 1 year of experience working in a behavioral health setting required; clinic experience required.
Prior experience diagnosing using the DSM V and experience with behavioral/therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records, required.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Valid and clean NYS Driver's License required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
