DescriptionCorVel is hiring a MCO Customer Service Representative.
This role is responsible for responding to inquiries (written and telephonic) concerning treatment authorizations, bill payments and other services provided under the Workers Compensation State Funded program.
This is a remote role reporting to the Central Islip, NY office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &
Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls, return phone callsKnowledge of state-wide Workers Compensation policies pertaining to MCO administrationMaintain documentation for Sales Force on visits, prospective visits, follow up and next stepsConsult with supervisor or other department teams to clarify answers to inquiriesAttend continuous trainings, coaching, and networking; attending meetings, conferences etc.
Contact provider to discuss findings at the appropriate levelRequires punctual and consistent attendanceAdditional duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Workers Compensation knowledgeEffective oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsGood organization, time management skills, and ability to multitaskDetail orientedProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsMedical terminology and coding knowledge EDUCATION &
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent requiredCustomer service experience requiredExperience working in the Managed Care and Benefit Administration industries preferred PAY RANGE:
CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.
Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors:
federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.
Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.
) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.
